God's Standard

Welcome back to another week of fellowship and growth. This week we start to talk about idolatry...yep, a word that is commonly used throughout the Bible, but especially in the Old Testament. Each day, we idolize all different things, the good, the bad, the positive, the negative, the productive, and whatever causes us to become stagnant. Whether we warrant it as being a good or bad idol, its still just that- an idol. At the end of the day we are commanded to love no-one or anything else more than God. Just as we must deny ourselves daily, we too must deny things that come second nature to us, which is becoming obsessive.
